I’d like to transfer to the University of Memphis next year, but I’m an OOS student and I’d never be able to afford the tuition.
Their honors program offers “Non-Resident Honors Student Awards” which is basically just a waiver that allows the student to pay in-state tuition. They only offer 30 a year on a competitive basis, with incoming freshman receiving primary consideration.
I’d really just like any advice on what I can do to make my application standout, whether it be academic or community service-wise or anything.
I’ll have a (relatively) high gpa, somewhere around a 3.8, a founding officer of a community service club/anthropology club (having held several different positions), honors student, and member of another community service club.
What more should I do?
{posting in both ‘Financial Aid and Scholarships’,and ‘College Admissions’, because I’m not sure which one is more appropriate
