<p>Wanted to know whether you guys think my E.C’s are enough for an ivy or a school just as good i.e NYU. I know E.C’s aren’t everything but if we eliminate grades, do you think my E.C’s are strong enough? There are as follows:</p>
<p>-Basketball Team- Freshman and Sophomore year. Couldn’t continue into junior and senior year because of asthma and other medical difficulties.
-SING (a show entirely produced by students) - Sophomore, Junior and will continue to do it Senior year
-SING stage crew manager- Junior Year I was elected SING stage crew manager. In charge of creating the backdrops, scene changes, props and on the nights of the show directing everything that happens behind the scenes. Will continue into senior year.
-JSA- have been doing it for three years
-Do Something Club- We basically do a bunch of projects that help people in the society and around the world. For example food drives, book drives, raising money for the Philippines etc. Did it freshman year, soph, junior and continue to do it senior year
-Multicultural Show- Sophomore, Junior, Senior Year- Apart of Desi club- performed traditional desi dances and showcased Indian, Pakistani, Bangladeshi, and Sri Lankan culture
- Founder of Bioethics Club- in which we discuss/debate controversial topics in the medical field
-Founder of Hope Worldwide- An organization that attempts to make the world a better place, cliche I know but we raise money for countries struck by natural disasters through car washes, bake sales etc. Create and raise awareness for impoverished countries and raise money for the building of wells, schools etc.
-Lead designer of a team that recreated/remodeled our theatre dressing rooms. Completely rid the room of its previous appliances, primed the walls and painted murals and redesigned the room completely. Head of about 10-15 students.
-Volunteered at a Hospital for two years about 400 hours
-Planning on conducting research with a College professor</p>
