Extreme vent!!!!

Okay, I was aware that this guy in my history class, let’s call him Nick*, was applying to BS. Mostly in the west…like Thacher, Cate, Stevenson, and I think one in Colorado. He’s sort of quiet, but is considered a “hot” and “popular” guy around school. One day I was chatting with him in history on the subject, and the topic of SSATs came up. He asked what I got, and was shocked when I said I got a 96. He said he got a 42. I was sort of surprised. Though Nick isn’t exactly the top-academics kind of kid, I would’ve thought he’d score better.

One of Nick’s good friends, let’s call him Josh*, is one of my friends. We were talking randomly about BS one day in science. And my jaw dropped when he quietly told me this:

“Well, don’t tell anybody, but I don’t think Nick is going to get in. You see, he copied this chick who he thought was smart during that boarding school test you have to take. Apparently, not so much. He, like, failed.”

“The SSAT?” I asked, shocked.

“Yeah, that one.” Josh replied.

My respect of Nick has been totally diminished, since Josh is one of my good friends and I find him completely trustworthy. I can only imagine what score Nick would’ve gotten if he had to cheat to get a 42. If he gets into ANY of the schools he applied to tomorrow, I will be severely disappointed, because an honest applicant with some extent of integrity should’ve been accepted in his place. I will be very nosy in asking Nick his admission decisions.

*All names have been changed.

Thoughts, comments on how low that is, etc. appreciated.

He would have had a better chance doing it himself. Everyone in the room has different tests. Well, different letters for answers and stuff.

Lol, look whos back.

… welcome back, jasmyn. don’t forget to tell us which schools you… got responses from :)
