I am a graduate student at Virginia Tech University, I did my undergrad at lehigh university and i am majoring in structural engineering. Although I am just starting grad school, I have started the process of looking for future employment. My friend was telling me that exxon mobile would be a great place to work, because they pay well and do alot of interesting things. I did some research and they are ranked no. 2 in the fortune 500 top companies to work for? I was wondering if anyone knew anything about what a structural engineer does for exxon mobile: offshore platform design, onsite platform design??? Also, what would be the average starting pay. Also, does anyone have any advice on what would be the best way to go around getting a job for such high profile companies like exxon.
