Eye bag surgery and Thermage

Yes, I will share my experience after the treatment.

As I know, the best way to remove the eye bag is surgery. There are two different way, if you are younger and eye bag is not that big, you can take the fat tissue from inside of your lower eye, no downtime. But, will create some wrinkles under your eye. One doctor suggest me for this kind of surgery but I’m not sure about the wrinkles (well, I’m 50…).
So, when I had consult with another doc about Thermage, I decided to give it a try. My friend in CA she had a whole face Thermage two years ago, she is so happy about the result.

I will do upper face this time (eye area, include eye lid and forehead). If it works, then I will do lower face in March or April.

Cost: surgery is around 3,500 to 5,500, for eye bag and upper eye lid. Thermage upper face is 2,000 and 3,000 for lower face.

FWIW, I am sitting here with two well-known dermatologist friends that do Thermage. I asked them about it for eye bags and they both felt that that eye bags require surgery. They said if a patient insisted they would definitely make sure they lowered their expectations, so they would not be disappointed.

Wow–that’s pricey, especially considering the results only last 1-2 years. Guess I’m gonna have to learn to love the sags and bags…
