FA for international students?

Among Georgetown, U.Va, Tufts, USC, UMich-Ann Arbor and UNC-Chapel Hill, which ones offer good FA (need-based or merit-based) for international students?

Thanks.

None, Michigan, UVA and UNC offer none at all and none of the others are known for good aid to intnls. If you have amazing stats and accomplishments, it’s possible to get some aid, especially if you can pay at least half and/or you’re from a country sending few applicants.

^That’s a discouraging fact. But do you know about other universities (ranked between 10 & 50) with good need-based/merit-based aid for internationals?

@#3, None. Your best bet for getting aid would probably be LAC’s.

happysunshine, the list is : amherst, darmouth, harvard, yale, princeton, williams, mit and middlebury

Wow
moneyp, those names that u gave are super super selective.
U must get 2100+ SAT with a great personality to get in.
Dont talk about the quality for a high amount of FA.

^There’s no harm trying, right?

Actually UVA, USC, and UNC-CH do have merit scholarships. You will need to check whether they exclude internationals. These are very competitive and are used to recruit students that would otherwise go to HYP type schools.

citdad, in general i don’t think internationals qualify for those merit scholarships you mentioned. it is really tough for internationals who need fa. money indeed really talks.

OK, so I checked and UVA, USC, and UNC-CH all have merit scholarships that are open to internationals.

Int’ls are eligible for a very limited number of scholarships at those schools.
