<p>I plan on applying to graduate programs in Fine Art a few years (or more) from now, and I’m wondering what the art program equivalent of “research” would be.</p>
<p>Do I investigate a movement / period in the history of art that relates to the type of work I produce? Or does this fall more in line with Art History programs than Fine Art programs? (I’m interested in doing this either way.)</p>
<p>Are Art programs less interested in research and more interested in seeing that I’ve displayed my work at well-known galleries or had solo shows?</p>
