faa

Hi right now I am attending waubonsee community college and I hope to be transfering next year into architectural studies in faa. People who transfer to this only need to complete one year of cc. The minimum gpa of 3.2 of transeferable courses is required to be competitive for admission. Does this mean that most transfer’s get average of 3.2? What gpa would you recommend me getting? Also I know transfering is very competitive especially at uiuc, but I know some colleges are more difficult to get in than another (especially business). Is faa diffult to get in? Oh i’m also Mexicam-American from a middle class suburbia family.

also it says on the FAQ’s section that high transcripts will be used in the review process if a student has not completed 30 credit hours by time of application.Since you are required to go no more one year of cc(30+ hours) will a high school transcript(grades, act score, etc) be used in the admission process?

anyone???

You will need to send high school transcript as requested since at time of “application” and time decision will be made you will have less than 30 hours, and they will give it some consideration. Architecture is difficult to get entry into at UIUC. Faa is several different sections , e,g, architecture, performing arts, art history etc. and architecture determines it own admissions based on its own criteria and thus you cannot rely on published 50% rank and ACT scores for faa. As to transfer admissions, architecture usually has an admit rate of less than 30%, the lowest of all programs. The 3.2 transfer GPA is essentially the minimum you need to be considered; it does not mean you will actually be admitted with it so get as high a GPA as you can.
