Interesting observation:

Yale class of 2010 has 815 members and 387 wall posts
Harvard class of 2010 has 544 members and 41 wall posts
Princeton class of 2010 has344 members and 42 wall posts

Hmmm…

Even more interesting is that this is despite the fact that Yale 2010 is the smallest of the three classes.

It is because we are dorks and spend all our time on facebook :-(. I suspected as much.

yale does not have the smallest of the three classes; its class of 2010 is bigger than princeton’s by almost 100 students (target sizes: H 1675, Y 1310, P 1220). timing is an issue, too, as yalies have had their housing assignments for a month (a major incentive for facebook registration and posting), while princetonians just got theirs this week.

Unlike Yale, those two schools have multiple 2010 groups. So undergrads are split between groups. One of the Princeton 2010 groups has 602 members and 661 posts. The Harvard group ‘Class of 2010!’ has 771 members. While I will claim Yale superior to its rivals in many things, facebook prowess is something I don’t much care to tout. ;)

Frankly, if one is going to judge “class spirit” from Facebook, well, then there might be some problems…

nobody mentiond class spirit on this thread until you…
