As of the time I posted this, there are already four students in the class–all from my high school. Note that we are using UCCP Open Access as our backing curriculum. There are a choice of [4 textbooks](http://www.uccp.org/courses/APEnvironmentalScience/uccp%20prototype%20files/prototype%20course%20files/course_texts.html) that are mapped out for this course. We 4 have already purchased ours–online for $14 a piece, including shipping. The books are not the new editions, so it can save you quite a bit of money.

Come check it out and join if you are interested! Anyone serious about self-studying for environmental science should at the very least check it out!

Feel free to join, if you’d like. We’d love to have some other class members =)

ya im in the same boat as swaggerer

can i do anything with the group w/o buying the textbooks, or is it all based on the textbook?

You can participate in the discussions and discuss the work. The curriculum we’re using is mapped for four different books–so it’s not too strict on exactly what’s learned. Whatever study book you’re using will surely hit on the main topics covered by the UCCP curriculum and discussion board topics.
