Facebook - "I'm Cleaning Out My Friends"

So what’s up with this “I’m cleaning out my facebook friends” thing that keeps showing up - check “yes” or “no”?!

I refuse to click on ANY of this - figure it will probably get me in some type of loop I don’t want to be in - so, if you have - what gives? Is this legit in anyway or what’s the deal??

(Facebook - love it, but there is always some gimmick!!!) :)

I looked it up since I was also seeing it all over the place. Apparently not a virus, but viral. I think your entire friend list gets the link to it if you happen to click “share” but I have seen people who say they never touched that button and it was sent anyway. I would not respond.

I always just ignore those posts.

Who thinks of this stuff?! (I’m the world’s worst Facebook “come on! Join in and play” person)

What’s Facebook?

^A VERY useful tool for scaring the heck out of your kids. As in, “Son, your girlfriend’s mom and I are friends on Facebook now!” For some reason, that scares him more than the thought of my connecting with her by phone.

There have also been a number of real viruses recently. Facebook friends have “posted” links which turns out to be to some shady pharmaceutical sales place. Two of my friends were hacked this way in just the last week and had to change their passwords. Maybe this is all a conspiracy by the kids to scare the parents away!

All you have to do is “like” that survey and it sends it out to all of YOUR friends. I mean really…if I don’t want someone as a FB friend…I just don’t include them from the get go.

You should change your passwords regularly for e-mail accounts, Facebook accounts etc. It really cuts down on the spam, also.

FYI,since we’re on the subject of scams  , Starbucks is reporting there is a FB scam offering free $50 gift cards - it’s NOT real - rumor that there are a couple other similar ones out there.

Think before you click!
