Facebook?

Will it be strange if I don’t use Facebook upon entering college? I’ve had bad experiences with it in the past but wouldn’t want to feel isolated.

Is this how one is treated?

It would be a good question to ask students when you visit campuses.

I know someone who is very involved in student government and on campus as well. He doesn’t have a facebook.

My son doesn’t use Facebook and seems to be keeping up with the activities he’s interested in.

Thanks for the insight

No one really cares whether you do or not. For me, it’s a good way to hear about campus events, since that’s how a lot of them are advertised. It’s also nice to talk to your friends who are at different colleges.

Most of the type-A types i know at UCLA either don’t have a facebook at all, or seldom use it. I mainly use it to keep up with, in general, the non-type-a types i know who don’t go to UCLA (i.e. non-UCLA friends.)

You guys have just dispelled any reason for me to have a facebook

No one really cares…use it if you want. Don’t of you don’t want to
