I really don’t understand this either. I’m not susceptible to Jedi mind tricks. It is my policy to never buy anything advertised to me (and I will watch no commercials, especially the ten zillion drug pusher commercials on every day, pushing drugs on a public that can’t even buy them if they wanted them, not that anyone would after hearing the side effects). . If I want a product or service, I find it myself, based on what others have said in multiple venues; you won’t convince me by your slick advertising. Ever. So you are wasting your time, Facebook. If you want me NOT to buy it, just force it on me.
Oh heck no on the Alexa in hotel rooms or new homes.

It is creepy that Facebook knows where you are when you are traveling and sends ads for lodging based on that. And recently I went into a L’Occitane de Provence store and a few minutes later I had an ad for them on my Facebook page.
Twitter knows too. I was traveling recently and that ad that pops up as #2 in your twitter feed was about the local country somehow, and not in English. They don’t even care that we notice these things!
But facebook and holocaust deniers - just wow. They are bending into pretzels to not be “judgemental” and playing right into the nasty games of extremists. And people are literally dying because of violence spurred on by fake FB rumors abroad.

Why am I getting a checkin reminder from Microsoft? Do they also read msn emails? My booking confirmation is sent to an msn email account. Otherwise, they have no way of knowing that I booked a flight.
