<p>How big a role does the faculty mentor play for Regents Scholars? All I can find from berkeley.edu web pages is </p>

<p>“The Faculty Mentor guides scholars on long-term academic and professional plans.” </p>

<p>bumping my 3-day-old thread. I thought someone on here might be able to help. </p>

<p>Cal is big and Cal is competitive. That’s fine. Those conditions should result in development, growth, maturity, and enlightenment. But Cal might be overwhelming for some. </p>

<p>Can any previous Regents Scholars discuss the role played by their faculty mentor?</p>
