<p>Under Sample’s leadership, the caliber of USC’s undergraduate students improved by leaps and bounds. </p>

<p>It’s been noted several times on this form – for USC to rise further in national and international rankings, USC’s reputation as a research universtity must improve. Looks like Nikias is on it.</p>

<p>Research grants have been increasing. In 2011 Keck increased sponsored research funding to nearly $250 million. Of that number 73% was from the NIH.</p>

<p>USC School of Pharmacy is now #2 in schools of pharmacy in the nation for NIH funding.</p>
