This section asks about the student income in the last year, but it doesn’t have an option of “will not file.” Should I just leave the section blank?

There are 3 options for tax returns. Already completed. Will file. Not going to file. You are asked them at the beginning of the ‘your finances’ section and have to select one (on the online form) before you can proceed. If you are not going to file then select ‘not going to file’. Even if you are not going to file you must enter any income you had in 2008 (for instance if you had a summer job enter the earnings from your W2, if you have not received it yet - which is probable -enter the info from your last pay check (s) ) and any assets (bank accounts, savings, stocks etc) as of the day you are filing. Don’t leave anything blank.
