<p>I’m a senior, class of '08. Which fafsa do i fill out?</p>
<p>In addition, when I tell a school that I am not a candidate for need-based financial aid does that mean that I am not supposed to fill out fafsa? The reason I am unsure is that fafsa is federal student aid and has nothing to do with institutional aid. Or am I wrong?</p>

<p>You should be doing the 2008-2009 FAFSA. Are you applying for financial aid? Does your school require the FAFSA? If so, you have to complete it. If you are not applying for financial aid, you do not have to complete the form. Most schools that award institutional aid (using the Profile information) also award federal aid AND they prefer to use any federal money that you may be eligible for before they award their own institutional money. If the school says to complete the FAFSA, you MUST do so or your financial aid application will be incomplete. That is…if you ARE applying for financial aid.</p>
