FAFSA Correction Initiated by College - Now Can't Add New Schools on New Correction by Student

I’m adding this in case anyone else is baffled by the situation (contacting the FAFSA was unhelpful), so I hope this is a blessing to others.

Situation:
- One of D’s colleges submitted a correction and it processed successfully.
- Upon trying to submit a new correction and add another school, the ‘ADD A SCHOOL’ button was non-selectable.
- FAFSA help-line is not helpful. told me it was a problem with my o/s and browser config.
- Waited a few days to see if it would ‘self-correct’. This did not occur.
- Finally decided to select ‘CLEAR ALL DATA’ and was resigned to simply re-enter everthing
- This resolved the problem by ‘clearing the data’ in my most recent attempt to correct the college-submitted correction.

Problem:
- I see that the problem was due to my trying to correct the correction initiated by a school.
- The default action by the site is to make the correction to the most recent submission (in this case, school-submitted)
- Now on the main FAFSA page after logging in, I see the following message:

Resolution:
- After choosing to ‘View Correction History’ I was able to make correction to a student-submitted correction
- And the option to add a school now works.

I hope this is helpful.

This is correct - if a school does a PJ adjustment, it is only valid for that school. As a result, no changes can be made on that transaction. Only the individual school can make updates based on PJ, and only after reviewing relevant documentation and determining that the PJ should be performed.

In addition, once a school has reviewed a transaction, you should not make changes to that transaction. For example, if the school adjusts something during verification, the student/parent cannot return to the FAFSA and make an adjustment that would affect EFC.
