<p>My father does not have a social security but will file a tax return for the 2012 year. For the area where it states:“Enter the amount of your father’s income tax for 2012” and: “Enter your father’s exemptions for 2012,” what should I put down since he does not know?</p>
<p>Exemptions means how many people will he have as dependents on his tax return. Usually, that would be him, you, and any other family members that he can list as dependents per the IRS regulations.</p>
<p>How about income tax for 2012? Where can he find that out?</p>
