FAFSA login help?

When I enter my username and password then click ‘Login’ it doesn’t do anything…
also, when I tried calling the ‘Help Line’ it doesn’t say anything but “FAFSA is la la la…” and it doesn’t really provide any helpful info… what do i do?

Not sure if this will help, but have you disabled Javascript in your browser? You might try enabling it and seeing what happens. Also, maybe trying a different browser will work.

It won’t let me log in either. Whenever I try, the site gives a little “jolt” and a # is placed at the end of the url. I don’t know what this means, but I’m assuming it’s not good… I would really like to submit my FAFSA as soon as possible so any insight into this problem would be nice!

Have you already started a FAFSA wishywell? The password is used to continue an already started FAFSA. If you are starting the 2011-2012 one for the first time you will not have a password. And what do you mean by user name? When I have done FAFSA it asks for my name, SSN, date of birth. It does not ask for a user name.

I use firefox as my browser usually, but have to use explorer to do FAFSA as it says my version of firefox is incomparable.

this is the site you should be using. Make sure you are not using one of the pay for sites (for instance the .com site - do not use that)…

Are you using a mac wishiwell? I am and am having the same problem, so maybe it’s just safari?

I have had problems sometimes using Safari when using the FAFSA site as well as some of the student/parent loan sites.

If it doesn’t work, switch to Firefox browser for Mac. I have never had trouble logging in using this route.

Supported Browsers/System Requirements for FAFSA:

[Federal Student Aid - System Requirements](http://federalstudentaid.ed.gov/system_requirements.html)

i had tons of problems with fafsa on the mac leopard 10.5 safari- until i switched safari preferences - appearance- encoding- western mac os roman and NOT latin encoding. then no problems, it only took me 14 hours to figure out… good luck
