<pre><code> I just submitted my FAFSA, but I expressed possible interest in Federal Work Study by checking the box for it on the application online. I’ve already submitted, and the FAFSA is being processed, but my question is this.

<p>Because I’ve denoted a possible interest in the program (absolutely not saying I would participate, just to see what’s available) Will that affect the financial aid and scholarships I could be receiving from my school.</p>

<p>Basically, would a school be less inclined to award aid if they see that I’ve checked that box?</p>

<p>That is not likely. You are more likely to receive less aid if you do not check it.</p>
