Just wondering why they ask for a return transcript if you use the DRT for FAFSA figures??
Because they are considering giving you money, and they want to make sure you need it.
Ok but the figures from the DRT will be the same as the tax transcript right? So what’s the purpose of asking for it. I can see if you didn’t use the DRT then they’d want to verify, but in this case it makes no sense.
The DRT doesn’t bring over everything from the tax return that was filed.
