Fafsa

Does it make sense for everyone applying to private colleges to complete FAFSA? (I.e. is there a family income level above which it’s not worth all the work and detail?)

^If you think your family can fully pay for your college educations, then you don’t need to file the FAFSA

You need to fill it out to qualify for any loans, grants, etc. honestly its worth the time.

What does “compete for FAFSA” mean? The FAFSA is a financial aid application form. It is submitted to your colleges of choice. It is primarily used to award federally funded need based aid. FAFSA does NOT give you money. The money comes from the federal government, college, state…not from the FAFSA. There is NO competition in completing it. What are you talking about?

Thumper the OP says complete not compete.

Thanks Tiger - both are very helpful

Oops…
