Hey guys,

I just got admitted into University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign (UIUC). However, after applying and before getting admitted, I had dropped my math class because I was failing. It shows up as withdrew failing (WF) on my transcript. I also failed gym, which shows up as an F. What impact do you think this will have on my admittance?

It is very possible that your admittance will be revoked. You should go onto that university’s website and check if they have certain “guidelines” or “expectations” for seniors that have been accepted. For example, the University of California: Irvine states that after you are accepted, you must:
- Obtain diploma
- Keep a 3.0 GPA
- Not take less rigorous courses as stated in your application
- And not receive more than one D or F

To clarify, these guidelines are for UCI, not your school. But check with your school to see if they have similar rules.
