hello

so my q is:
i failed 3 classes at my college (community college), i will retake them. (had personal issues) my usual grades before and after are mostly A’s and couple of B’s.

so to the Q: what are my chanses to transfer to Amherst ?

and another thing how do i figure the curriculum for which courses are accepted and what is not?

thanks in advanced

Given just the information that you provided (that you have failed 3 out of however many courses you have taken this semester, your chances are non-existant. Nobody knows how hard you will work or how well you will do but you. Work hard and you might have a chance here or elsewhere. It will be an uphill climb though because of your bad early performance. Since you are at a Massachusetts Community College, you can ask your transfer advisor about which courses transfer to UMass or Massachusetts State Colleges.

i have two last semester (combine the courses i will need to retake). so i will finish with something like 24 course (maybe 23 or 22, dont recall) so out of those 3 are failed. but i will still retake them. and as i mentioned, on most of my other classes i got A’s and couple of B’s.
putting it otherwise. if i wouldnt got the F’s my GPA would be 3.6-3.7

I am not qualified to make 3 failures out of 24 probably won’t kill you, especially if you retake them. A 3.0 is a very competitive transfer GPA to UMass for many majors.
