Failed Math in Grade 10- Do I relearn everything or just move on to studying for SAT

Hello, I’m at the end of my summer vacations, and I realize that I have to study pretty hard for SATs, especially for the Math section, since I am weak at maths. I’m in an IB school, and I failed terms 2 and 3 of Extended Mathematics in Grade 10. I still have the textbook of Grade 10 (Holt’s Precalculus), and am going to be in Standard Mathematics in Grade 11. My question is should I dive into studying for the Maths section itself on the SAT straight away, or go back to the Grade 10 textbook and relearn everything we did in that year to form a solid foundation? I plan to take the SATs in January or March, to give you guys an idea of how much time I have.

Also, it’d be really helpful if someone can give me their study schedule for studying for the SATs and they ended up getting a good score (2000+)

Thanks

Forget the school math and go directly to SAT math. Get a comprehensive guide for SAT Math section. Now which one is the best to get… you should research and decide for yourself.

Hmm ok, also is an hour a day of studying for the SAT (an hour of full dedication, no fooling around) for 4-5 months enough to get a 2000+ score for a person with average intelligence?

First take a test and see where you stand, what kind of gaps you have. Then we can try to predict how much time you will need to get there.

By the way, they say that Gruber’s Math guide is good.
