I am a freshman ECE major at a top engineering university. Recently I took my quarter exams (which are worth 10% of my total grade for each class) and failed 3 of them. I failed intro to ECE (a weeder course), physics and calculus. I know this isn’t the end of the world but what do I do now? My failing exam grades have pushed my overall grades for those grades to F’s.

Another thing that sucks about my school is that there are no +/-, just A, B, C, etc. If I get 3 D’s and a C then I will have a 1.2 gpa (somewhere around there)… and I doubt my parents will pay $40,000 a year to continue to go here. I might also run into the chance of being put on academic probation, which would only further complicate things

What should I do?
