My feel like the world is really going to end now because my October SAT was only 20(!!!) points higher. So now my score is only 2120.

My reach schools were
WUSTL
UPENN
Bowdoin
UNC Chapel Hill

But I feel like I’ll just be wasting money applying to them because their 75%percentile is way higher than my current score. Should I drop all my reach schools or should I keep a couple, and if so, which ones?

a 2120 is definitely failing. <— sarcasm
lol are you serious? i would be so happy with a 2120! my friend that got into UPENN got about a 2000 and all he had going for him was the violin, so you have a chance there. and chapel hill? come on the average score there is like a 1900. APPLY you will not be wasting your money. you definitely have a chance… you never know

Where are you getting your info? UPenn’s mid 50%: 660-750 CR; 690-780 M; 670-760 W. You’re about in the middle there. You have a shot.

UNC Chapel Hill mid 50%: 590-700 CR; 620-710 M; 580-680 W. Are you in-state? Only 17% OOS.

WUSTL is really tough to get into. Nephew had 800 CR, 800 M and 790 W and was waitlisted. Only school he was waitlisted, accepted at all others. Other neice and nephew got into U of Chicago, but not WUSTL. Don’t know why so tough.

You have to realize that only on College Confidential are 2100s uncompetitive.
Anyways you still have time to retake it - the late registration for Novermber ends tomorrow I believe and then you can still take the December test.
