Fair personal statement to ED dickinson

Hi everyone, I just applied ED1 to Dickinson. My application components are quite good except for the EC (around 5,500/year). And recently, I have been kinda panic since some of my friends told me that my main essay was more like TELLING than SHOWING to the admission officers. However, I assume my WHY essay is way better than the ps.

I wonder if Dickinson values the applicant’s interest more or the way that I write an essay more.

It was a bit rush, to be honest. I submitted at exactly 11.59pm. So worried bc i love Dickinson so much.

Some other info ab me:
Im Vietnamese
New sat: 1410 ( superscore: 1420)
A lot of voluntary work and leadership involvement
Gpa: around 3.6/4
First generation to attend college
Three good rec letters (two of them really told a story about me, so I hope they could envisage me through all of the letters and essays included)

According to BigFuture, both Application Essay and Level of Applicant’s Interest are rated as Very Important. However, essays are 2nd on the list and interest is 4th… if the order matters. Dickinson’s website may have a list of what is important to them as they evaluate applications. At any rate, relax… what’s done is done and all you can do now is work on your other applications (you have more, right?) and wait for good news.
