<p>No, because academic cheating and cheating in a game are radically different as far as impact to others go. I mean, wallhacks are of a different nature than false qualifications. Anyone who has lived in a country where they’re whipped just for chewing gum is probably going to have a “unique” view about what’s morality justified. <p>Rescinded = punishment? He’s not entitled to a place at Yale. His admission and place are contingent upon the truthfulness of his application. If he did forge his recommendations, then his Yale place is not his. Plain and simple. Taking away something that wasn’t his to begin with is not “punishment”. Next thing you know, it’s gonna be “too harsh” to ask a shoplifter to return the items that he had stolen.</p>
