Fall 2011 Housing Link Now Working

The link to register for housing for Fall 2011 is now working. We had been trying since Monday to get in and were finally able to get in and register.

Yay! So do freshmen have any chance at getting a dorm at the O house?

Yes, freshman get into Ohouse. It’s harder, but they get in.

We requested O house as 1st choice and hopefully we did it early enough to get in.

O House was my first choice. Then Soule. Then Creswell -_- (which I hear is one of the worst) but I may apply for the Franklin Residential College, and if so, I’ll be in Rutherford.

Let me just say that Creswell isn’t that bad, and I would personally pick that high rise over any of the other high rises (save for ohouse). I lived in Creswell as a freshman. When I came to orientation, they housed us there, and my first impression of the room was that it was a jail cell. I even stayed in my mom’s hotel room instead of that room because it was just so darn depressing. But the room looks MUCH better once you actually get some stuff in there and make it look like a college dorm room instead of a jail cell.

Creswell is on the bottom of the hill in that area (relative to the other two highrises), it has an elevator (Hill community dorms do not, I believe…at least Lipscomb doesn’t), and the dining hall is practically downstairs. Creswell may not be one of the greater dorms, but it’s livable and if you have to choose between Brumby, Russell, or Creswell, I’d make it Creswell.
