Still waiting for COLA…

If I will have 2 classes to go to get my associates, would UT let me take them in the summer at my CC? I need two classes after this spring semester to also be considered a junior but I know the transcripts are due by June 1st and summer classes are over mid summer. What should I do?

@rangers32 I dont think there is any restriction on taking class at another college (although they only transfer 60 hours at max), people do it all the time. The due date for transcript, I believe is for those who didn’t have 30 hours complete when they apply in March.

@Hanaforren Hey Congrats man!
I am still waiting for my decision…
Do you mind sharing your stats?

So would anyone say it is a good sign if an application has been “in review” since early march? Or?

@viraevi Congrats man!!! I am still waiting !! JEEZZZZZZ!

@whitesox14
The longer your application is in under review, the higher the chance of getting into the school. The admissions office can deny any application after the March 1st deadline for all fall applicants; the main reason why applications are under review this long is because they are considered competitive, therefore your application is being compared to others for admission.

Hope this helps

@foafoa yeah looking into it it says transcripts for admitted students are required but it does not give a deadline which just makes it confusing. I would like to earn my 60 hours before transferring for the simple reason that it costs a lot less per class if I take them at my CC.

@DanielKim3 Thank you! This helps me feel a little better but will see. I applied to COLA and it went “in review” around March 8th I think and it is still there.

@rangers32 Well, I guess that’s the reason we went to community college in the first place. Regardless if I will be admitted or not, I will complete all of my math at community college (in summer and winter).

@danielkim Are you sure? I applied for COLA undecided and UGS and mine went into review in early March as well… have not heard back! I really hope this means i’m getting accepted.

For anyone reading this…

How long have you been “in review” for?

CNS anyone…?

@dontdoooit my application has been “in review” since March 18, more than a month now.

I think I am now confused on what “in review” really means. On the box on the right side with status and majors and stuff, right next to my status it has only been “complete/on time” since I applied. Does that mean my application is not really on review? How do we know when the application really goes into review??

It says “in review” and means it is in the hands of the admission committee. Complete/on time could mean that it is filed and complete, but has not been distributed to be in review by the admissions committee yet.

you are confusing me now…

on the side bar it says “complete/on time” but above it says that it is “in review”

That is how my application look like. On the top it say “in review” but in the side bar it say my status is “Complete/On Time”.
Anybody that already got accepted, how is your status page look?

@foafoa it says at the top “congratulations,(name)! You’ve been admitted to the university of Texas at Austin.” Below that it says "you’ve been accepted for admission to the (major) in the (college) beginning in fall 2014.

Then where it used to say complete/on time it now says admitted.

ok. so we ARE in review. I guess we have to play the waiting game. Have faith @foafoa. Picture yourself going to orientation and sitting in class. I am a firm believer of manifesting your dreams… you just got to think positive!
