Fall 2014 Transfer Thread

CNS still in review… Ugh come on UT! :(

@DanielKim3‌ I think that makes sense since I know some of my friends have been rejected but none of us is admitted yet (same major, same tuition type, same college, same nationality)

Applied to CNS. It says in the website that we have to pay the enrollment fee by May 1st… does this imply that we’ll get our decision by then?

@InternatDude I think you got admitted if they asked you to pay the enrollment fee

^ I’d pay that enrollment fee ASAP if I were you buddy. But I’d also call UT to make sure.

Hi I know I’m kind of late to the party, but I have been hearing from friends that they are getting accepted! I have not heard anything back though. I was just wondering if this is good or bad? Wish I would have found this site earlier!

Do they review and notify by when you turned in your application, alphabetical, or just random? I turned my app in on Feb 28th. Just anxious since 2 of my friends found out on Thursday.

Tomorrow admissions will most likely start cranking out acceptances/denials again. Good luck to all! I’m still in limbo waiting on COLA- Anthropology. I feel like it could go either way but I am keeping my hopes up! Happy Easter to all too.

Meh I’m now worried that my GPA won’t be competitive enought for Econ. I wish I did Phil/Gov :(

Happy Easter everybody! Anyone know if a transfer student going into mechanical engineering with 46 hours would have to take a UGS first-year signature course? If it makes a difference, MyStatus says I am going in as a sophomore.

@want2engr where does it say what class you are going in as? I emailed admissions because I can’t find it.

Congrats to everybody that got accepted. I won’t know til around June, since I don’t have 30 hours yet. Gonna be a hell of a wait…

Happy Easter everyone  Hopefully tomorrow admissions gives out some more decisions. Good luck everyone :*

@want2engr‌ I believe everyone that attends UT has to take a UGS course, whether it be transfer or incoming freshman.

@want2engr I hope not… I read the course descriptions and it really seems like the course is geared toward incoming freshman.

I’m in a UGS class now as a sophomore transfer and it’s my favorite class!

@rangers32 It is actually not listed on MyStatus, sorry for misleading! It is listed on your RIS page, so if you go to <a href=“Registration Times - Texas One Stop - University of Texas at Austin”>http://registrar.utexas.edu/students/registration/before/ris</a> and get your info for whichever semester you were admitted to, it will say your classification under Advising Information.

I just called admissions because I cant take not knowing when Fall 2014 applicants will get their decisions. The guy said they go out on a rolling basis and we should hear back “anytime now” good luck guys!

Did anyone else receive an email from UT this morning about sending grades in by June 2nd?

UT’s my top choice, but I’ve also gotten accepted to other Universities. I’m afraid I won’t get to know UT’s decision until the deadlines for the response of the other places I’ve got in… is anyone else having the same dilemma?

@jjyoon36‌ what do you mean by 30 hours?
