Wow the day is finally here at last!
I got accepted into anthro, with roughly a 3.53 GPA. I don’t have the patience to list all the stats but I will say that Ive been at a CC for the last 5 years . I was rejected from CSLB 1 years ago. And in high school had zero hopes of getting into a UC and a cal state even seemed a far reach, but I got accepted. My personal statement was about my underage DUI and how ultimately this DUI is taking me to places I never thought I would ever go, yes my DUI.
For those, who got rejected do not give up! God or something up there has plans for you. Everything, everything is a learning experience. Are you going to give up or are you going to keep working harder and shoot for even bigger goals then you had imagined for yourself. The choice is yours.
For those who got accepted, YOU DESERVE IT! It was no easy feat. Only you know the amount of hard work you put in, all those times you doubted yourself, when others doubted you. AND HERE YOU ARE!! SO proud. your blood, sweat and tears literally. CHEERS! Bask in this glory, please!

Essays: I’ve gone back and forth with these. I didn’t like my essay for my major but received good feedback about the second essay. Both talked about situations that happened over seven years ago, so that could have been a minus too.

For those who keep bringing up W’s, they don’t mean anything in the decision. I had over 15 of them (and got accepted). I even confirmed this with a counselor months ago, they just don’t care about them.

Here is some information for 2016 applicants which may alleviate some of their waiting stress.
- The UCLA decision website did not show the decision date for transfers till the last minute. It changed around 5 PM and results were up 5.10 PM on April 17, 2015. No news from UCLA newsroom too.
Below came up around 5 PM. Before this it said "…Decisions will be avail mid to late April 2015)
Fall 2015 transfer Decisions for most transfer applicants will be available in the evening of Friday, April 17, 2015.
- There were multiple reports of decision being available on April 17 (on cc etc) but no concrete info from UCLA till 5 PM on 17th April.
- The UCLA decision site went down at 3.30 PM and came back up at 5.10 PM on 17th April 2015..
- Most people got their decisions if they checked after 5.10 PM.
Others may add stuff if I missed anything.
@fullload can confirm the W thing. I’ve got 26 between two CCs, but I got in ok. They do care in the sense that they want your application to match up exactly with what shows up on your transcripts (i.e. it’d be bad to leave out a W on the application).
Also, is the class you’re thinking you’re going to get a C in a major class? I can’t imagine they’d rescind the offer if not.

For those who got accepted, can you view your financial aid package? I made a MyUCLA login and everything, but it stills says my financial aid is unavailable.
