@janeylynn Which CSU you coming from?
@naregian long beach! Do you currently go to a csu?
- Yes, Econ is very hard to get into. I'd say have a 3.8+ gpa to be competitive, but even then it's a maybe. Have some internships or job experience to boost up your application.
- I heard that Econ is INCREDIBLY hard and competitive once you get there.
Does anyone know anything about the TAP scholarship and if everyone in TAP gets one?
@UniversalSnip, I am.
@Salmanthgr8 I’m not sure. I haven’t gotten an email about it or even heard anything.
EDIT: Found this.
@jaxtransfer I just wanted to let you know that I’ve been reading the Facebook page for UCLA transfers, and apparently it is very possible to switch majors, even impacted majors. They say you can’t, but everyone there that has transferred already says it’s possible!!
What I mean by, “they say you can’t,” is UCLA says you can’t @jaxtransfer
If we would like to do pre-med, do we have to declare that or do we just take the necessary pre-med classes while we are there?
Has anyone ever heard of a waitlisted student actually getting in?
@princessluna I think you can get into most medical schools with any undergraduate degree, as long as you’ve taken the right courses and a good MCAT score. http://admissions.berkeley.edu/premed
Question: I submitted a schedule change a month ago, and got an email back saying that admissions would contact me if they needed any additional information. It’s safe to assume that they saw my change before admitting me, right? I’m ready to SIR but I don’t want to if an error was made, lol.
I think u only need to keep good standing in academic, which means you only need to keep 2.0 GPA at the last semester. But u will have to report to them if you get 2 c or a C in major preparatory course.
So can anyone shed some light on housing for transfers? What is better…dorms or university apartments? Dormimg seems to be a lot more expensive but I imagine it would be a better experience.
Hey guys!
Do parents usually come along for Bruin Day? I know they do for the freshman day, but just wondering about with transfers on May 9.
Accepted!! I’m not going to be attending, but it was still super exciting to see

@Mac2000 I’m bringing my family to Bruin day
@Ecin94 I have same concern as yours too. the closest to UCD Integrate Program that UCLA has is the departmental scholar program. It’s only for math department though. It would be nice to have the master degree but UCLA is a big school with many opportunities. I really don’t know which one should I now
@luckie1367 Nice! Just trying to decide quickly since my family is from out of state and not much time to book reasonable flights haha.
Is anyone going to PILOT DAY the day before bruin day ?! (preparing for life of a transfer day)
@2016Candles I don’t have a tab on my settings that says change email only change password, and when i go to that external site the only option to change an email is from the old ucla platform to this new g.ucla platform… agh! hahah maybe since I’m not enrolled yet i don’t have all the functions on myucla?
