To change your email address, go to my.ucla. At the top next to your name click “settings”. From there you should see the option to change your primary email address.
@Salmanthgr8
You create your own UCLA email address. Choose carefully because once created, it can’t be changed. If you go to grad school, it stays with you. Also many people keep it after graduation because it may help with employment prospects. So make sure it’s something you’ll want for a long time.
@Malzahar where in the myUCLA can you apply for housing, mine says that the deadline is January 2015 (what?), I am admitted, but unable to apply for housing.
I was going to edit my post that another reason for rejection is probably the C in Calc 2 (passed the edit time limit). I had a 5 in AP Calc AB. Having a year off without any math course + personal issues was a really bad move on my part. I was also too afraid of taking the W and having to take Calc 2 this Spring.
I’M ACCEPTED!!! (My first post, but been stalking this forum for months!)

@Cayton@lindyk8 :Is it possible to switch major? I am admitted as pre math for teaching UCLA, but I also got offer from UCSD which is computer science major. Right now I can’t choose between those two…do you know about changing major from LS to engineering? Or within LS?
You can’t change into engineering. You can probably change into another LS major if it’s not impacted and you’re already in progress of completing prereqs
Accepted
English Major
Overall GPA: 3.6
Major GPA: 3.54
IGETC: Yes
TAP: Yes
Major prep: yes
Personal Statement: Unlike many I know I didn’t spend an exorbitant amount of time on my personal statement. I began writing it about one week before it was due on my application. I had faculty and staff members who were English majors back when they were students read over and critique my essay. All that being said I would personally rate my essay a 9/10.
I think that the reason as to why I got in was a combination of my GPA, completion of all Major Prep work, and TAP. I did do plenty of extra curricular activities, and wrote a decent personal statement, but I full heartedly believe that these three factors were most regarded upon viewing my application. TAP does wonders for transfer students.
For future applicants: since it’s really difficult to find stats on CSU to UC transfers
CSU->UC
