Can the Regents Invitees post their GPA please? Just want to know if only 4.0 guys are gettng invited for Regents
I didn’t get regents and I’m low income with a 4.0. Not sure how they pick the people they invite.
Does anyone know how competitive it is get nominated for the departmental scholar program? Is it only for the top few candidates in each department? Do candidate have to enroll through Honors Program to be qualified?
I got nominated for regents with a 3.95 overall GPA. I did have a 4.0 in UC-transferable classes and a 4.0 in major prep classes.
Hey has anyone received their UCLA hard copy acceptance packets in the mail yet? Just wondering what the delivery time is on that
@UCLAme I haven’t gotten my admissions packet in the mail. I live in Southern California, if that helps.
anyone know the time frame last year admitted students got their acceptance packets?
I really want mine
Those that are waiting for their acceptance packets, it will come within a couple of weeks. By far the UCLA one was the best, came in a nice yellow packet, the booklet was done very well, and you had your official letter in there. UCSD and UCI sent out cheap looking pamphlets.
I received regents invitation also. I have an overall 4.0 as well. However, I did hear that beside your GPA, they also take a close look at your essays as they use it to determine whether or not you are a dedicated individual. They do holistic review as far as I know.
Hey guys, I just got waitlisted. Is it pretty much hopeless to get in at this point? Is there anyone willing to help me with my waitlist essay.
Congrats @NPham95!
so far it looks like they have selected regents out of the students who have 4.0 UC GPA people.
Maybe a holistic review of the 4.0 candidates was done to short list the Regents.
4.0 gpa. My volunteer experiences and internship were related to my major (Poli Sci). I also come from a low income family. In my essay, I wrote about interning at an immigration law office and activist organization, and how it inspired me.
Has anyone received an academic contract through email? I haven’t received mine but was accepted.
Yes thanks @apocalypso
So i’m thinking about dorming for a year. Does anyone know how the parking situation works if I live on campus?
If you live on campus, you can only get a parking permit if you have a job off campus. Even in those cases I don’t think it’s guaranteed.
Thats a PAID job. Not an internship or volunteering.
@Malzahar
Yes.
@2016Candles Hopefully I can get a parking permit. I wouldn’t want to have to worry about moving my car throughout the day from the parking meters. Thanks for responding!
