Fall 2015 UCLA transfer students

a,b and c can be out of sequence. no problem there. i verified this with the department months ago.

Oh ok, because English 10c says enforced pre-reqs of 10a and 10b. I guess it’s variable.

that’s what prompted my question a ways back. the department advisor i spoke to had no idea why that’s there. they are all separate from each other and b and c do not rely on a. really weird. i’m prooof it does not mater, i took them all out of order.

Good to know. Thx.

Yes, great to have that clarified about the sequence because it has been worrying me for some time now. Thanks again lindyk8 and fullload.

Hey all,

I was wondering if a schedule change has any significant bearing on whether my UCLA acceptance for the 2015-16 school year will be taken back or not.

I am currently a English-major sophomore at UC Davis (also on the quarter system) and for my spring schedule, I previously reported 4 (4 unit) classes, one of which I dropped just a day before I got my acceptance email.

When I called and asked if my acceptance will be rescinded, they said they couldn’t give me a straight answer, since it’s based on case by case basis.

The reason I dropped was because my family is going through a little bit of a financial rough patch, so I dropped a class to pick up more hours at my jobs to help pay a little for rent and stuff. I’m considering picking up a 2 unit class though so I would be at 14 units for the quarter.

I need UCLA to let me know as soon as possible so I can start preparing for housing next year and whether I should drop from my current apartment, etc

I’m honestly pretty stressed and freaked out about all this, if you guys could provide a little insight or maybe stories/past experiences you’ve heard about that would be really cool. Please and thank you.

@eggsandbakon I just responded to your other thread.

Quick question, I got in as applied math, but I really want to take some computer science courses, so how hard is it to switch to mathematics of computation?

For those who SIR’ed, the New Student Orientation Education Planner is up!! Its under surveys.

@luckie1367 what is the new student orientation planner?

It is a survey that needs to be done before you can sign up for orientation on June 4

Thank you! @luckie1367 you’re so helpful.

There’re a lot of questions on the survey. Get started on it soon!

I’m waiting for Berkeley.

Saul Goodman has moved on to giving UC transfers advice xD

Hey bruinla, always verify through a counselor or rep at the school. I’m only sharing my experience, as Lindy can verify, I’ve been wrong more than once around here.

I’m confused about the provisional contract. It says not to get anything below a “C” but it also says to notify admissions if your get a “C” in a major preparatory course. Will I get rescinded if I get a “C” in a pre-req?

Consider yourself lucky, my contract demands all B’s or better this Spring.

I’m having a crisis right now. I was accepted as a Pre-History major; However, I thought that I could major in U.S. History. Well, it turns out that option is for graduates only, so I’m screwed. Honestly, I have no interest in other historical societies and its just my preference. Now, I’m not feeling so good about my choice. My second option would be a Pre-Political Science major, but its impacted, so I don’t believe I can transfer into it. Does anyone have any advice? Recommendations? Thanks. This is so depressing. UCLA is my dream school, but I don’t want to be there doing something I don’t want to do.

I want to switch from pre-political to pre-history
