I actually didn’t drop any classes, because I never enrolled in classes that I updated in TAU. I couldn’t take a major require course because school canceled it, and I’m taking Microbiology instead of Biology.
Is anyone submitting Ucla regent? I have no idea about the result announcement.
The only change i had was just changing one major course to another major course, no W or Drop, not a serious or big change, I think that’s why my report took short for them to decide.
But you should all be fine! I held my breathe for their review on the change. It was a really hard and sad time for me.

@direwolfin did you receive an email or was your decision site just updated randomly? around what time did it happen? it means they took 9 business days. so since today is my 9th business day, then hopefully I’ll hear back today. fingers crossed y’all. I don’t want to wait any longer.
It seems summer parking is being sold today, but I still cant tell i they’re giving me fin. aid for summer yet. Anyone know the process for this?

luckie, you already sent in all your transcripts that are due june 1? I wont be able to do it until Monday, hope I’m not too late.
@fullload I’ve send in the transcript with the fall grades, but not my official one yet (my semester isn’t over till mid june), and I’ve sent in the AP scores, but not yet on IGETC. AP scores have been marked received, transcript is ‘pending’, but there is not a space for the IGETC. I was just curious how we double check that it has been received. I think you’ll be fine

Ummmm I don’t remember how I verified IGETC with UCLA. With my CC it was sent at the same time as my transcripts, so there was nothing additional I need it to send. I don’t recall being able to check that online. But I could be misremembering. I know once you are able to access your “degree audit report” online, you’ll see it there. But you won’t have access to that report until about a week before your scheduled orientation date this summer. I honestly wouldn’t worry too much about IGETC certification because as long as you know you have it, then you’re not going to get rescinded if there’s some hiccup over the summer.
I confirmed the summer aid today. No, I wasnt being sarcastic. I’m a little confused by your answer. We have two rounds of transcripts we need to send them, by June 1 (through Fall), then by July 1 (through Spring). I havent done the first round yet, I’m doing it Monday, hoping it will get there in time.

As long as your transcripts or postmarked by the deadline date, then you should be fine. I assume if you order them on Monday, then it should not take your school more than three weeks to send them out. Of course we are talking about California community colleges, so who knows :-/

And @fullload no worries, I just wanted to make sure! I really think you will be fine so long as the postmark is prior to june 1 for the fall transcripts (round 1).
On MyUCLA it just has the little ‘pending’ symbol and says “A preliminary transcript has been received from SANTA MONICA COLL . A final transcript is still required.” Which I’m assuming means that my round one has been received, but they are waiting for my final with my spring grades.
I hope that clears it up a little.
Luckie, be safe and verify that’s what it means (your myucla sm transcript). After hearing lindy’s horror story about ucla never receiving transcripts, I’m not leaving any stone un-turned and plan to verify every transcript’s receipt. Just make sure they have round 1 already and it’s not referring to round 2.
Candles, thanks for the help, I think you guys are both right about the postmark.
As for IGETC, when I was doing an electronic transcript delivery yesterday for one of my colleges, it had a box to check if I wanted to send along IGETC certification. I went to los angeles community colleges, so it seems to be an option for all CC’s in this region. However, if I was reading it right, you need to check the box for the last school you attended, But again, that’s LA, not Santa Monica, so I’m probably not helping you here.
Glad the hear that you got the same summer aid verification email I did today. I thought it was an email telling me I forgot to verify, so I was panicking at first.

Interesting note. I just realized my last Spring class ends on June 20th (stats) at UCLA Extension. UCLA is aware of this and it’s even in my contract that I need to get a B in that class. Anyway, my summer class begins two days later at UCLA. There’s no way they’re going to know if I complied with my contract in two days, so I’m basically going to be attending classes at UCLA before they even know if I complied with the contract. I just think it’s interesting they would allow me to take classes and give me financial aid before even knowing if I complied with the contract (which I will, just saying).

If for any reason you got summer financial aid, and then later had your admission rescinded, they would just bill you for the financial aid that you received. So they’re basically going on faith that you’ll live up to your end of the contract, but if you don’t they WILL get their money back.
