Thank you @luckie1367 !!! I have a 4.0 and was super sad when I didn’t get an invite to apply to regents, but this made it all okay! I hope you get an e-mail! 
I got the UCLA Alumni scholarship too!!
Are there any other scholarships other than TAP that I should be aware of? I want to apply to all the scholarships out there because since I am an international student, my need is not taken into consideration.
I would appreciate every help I get.

@jasmine2468 And you also got the Regents without ever applying! Kind of hard to know what to believe, esp since regents emailed back that what you said was impossible.
If you actually did get the alumni, congrats.
While the $2,000 scholarship is great, what drew me to applying for Alumni Scholar was the graduate mentor!
The one I’m really interested in for the money is the TAP, that’s $5,000 per year!
I’d be a happy camper if I just got both of those.
@lindyk8 I called the Financial aid office and the person who can answer questions related to Regents is not available. Whenever I get an answer, I will let you know if I really did get Regents or if it was a mistake.
@jasmine2468, maybe you got it by mistake, I don’t know. But you mentioned earlier they told you to call financial aid office and check. Why wouldn’t they just tell you to check your portal, which is standard protocol? It may be all an innocent mistake. But you have to see all of our positions. It just seems very odd.

Den Pass update: called the number underneath ‘Buy Den Pass’ and got the dermatology department… very nice lady says call the Central Ticket Office. Called them, and they said you have to wait until orientation.
What is the New Student Orientation Educational Planner for? There are lots of handwritten responses and mine are incredibly brief and concise (I am incredibly brief and concise in addition to not liking to talk about myself). Should I pain myself into crafting more expressive responses or is it okay to leave my three word essays as is?
@anikom15 I think its just so you can get some tailored info at orientation. Most of my answers are short, so I don’t see a problem with it.

Hey guys, how many LD classes can one take at UCLA for electives? Is there a cap? I have some gaps to fill and some classes that I’d like to take outside of my major, but they’re lower division.
I didn’t get an email saying I got the Alumni Scholarship, but my FinAid was updated and an extra 2,000 went under the Regent’s Scholarship portion. Why do you think it went under Regents?
TAP and IGETC only apply to CA residents in CC, right? I’m OOS and attend a four-year university. The answer is probably obvious but I’m just wondering as a lot of people seem to qualify for those two things.
…because its probably the Regents award?
