Do you guys think I would get penalized for resubmitting my housing car with my #1 preference being different?
Have any of you applied for the TAP scholarship? Does anyone know how many scholarships are typically awarded per cycle?
1
Haha, kidding. I don’t know. But the board meets next month to discuss the applications.
:-SS [-O< Come on TAP scholarship! I think they release decisions by the end of July
Tap scholarship decisions are supposed to be out by July 30
@apocalypso
39 people received TAP scholarships last year according to an email that I got last year that urged me to apply for it. It said 39 would be selected for it.
I’m guessing that this year’s number of eligible recipients will be around the same.
@Cayton Awesome, thanks!
My final official transcripts were finally marked as received!! So relieved
Does anyone know when we get our financial aid package ?
We get it finalized in July, and the money goes out right before school starts, I think one or two weeks before.
does anybody know when we pay for our courses/tuition? Does it go based off financial aid disbursements?
Does anyone know when we should have access to BruinView?
@Outerhaven yep sometime in July
@UCLA17 yes, the payment is sometime in September (i think) but it is after financial aid is available.
@apocalypso I can get into BruinView
@luckie1367 have you added your potential classes to your planner on MyUCLA or are you just going to use your pre made schedules come orientation day when we actually get to enroll?
I have my preferred schedule in my class planner @Icj1994. I’m hoping at registration I can just show them and they’ll go, ‘great, we can do that’
Ive had to update my planner 3 times in 3 days, classes keep filling
I have classes on my planner that are full, since I know they hold some spots for orientation. So don’t panic if it looks full, you still might get it.
Will Fafsa go straight to UCLA? I’d rather not have to deal with cashing it and then paying UCLA. Also im assuming it automatically gets split up into the three payments?
@History2Law, my understanding is that when the FAN is finalized in July, you’ll have the option to accept whatever they’ve offered you (grants, work study, scholarships, loans, etc). Those funds will be disbursed before the quarter starts, and you will be sent a refund (if there is one).
I’m not sure how it is split up.
@luckie1367 how did you get onto there, if you don’t mind me asking? Whenever I try to log on with my myUCLA info, it tells me to call the career center, but I figured it was because I’m not registered for summer classes and haven’t done orientation yet.
