Fall 2015 UCLA transfer students

I don’t think my last comment went through but I’m just extremely paranoid, and there’s nothing to be curious about

agz and fnc, thanks for responding. UCI is my back-up plan so I was just curious. UCI has a pretty amazing English department, so I’d be just as happy there as UCLA, outside of the distance issue.

I really want to stop doing research on anticipating decision…but I can’t help, can’t stop…too nervous and excited…Hope it’s coming out tmr.

This website has a ton of answers for one-year transfers. And this link specifically is of another reassurance that decisions will be tomorrow:

Anonymous asked: I haven’t heard back from any of the UC’s yet (SD, LA, Berkeley, Irvine). Should I be worried?

No.

UCI, UCSD, and UCLA should be out with their transfer decisions by April 17th. UCB should be out with their transfer decisions by April 24th. You’re guaranteed to hear back from them by the end of April though. Don’t worry.

“One Year Transfer” probably got the information from this site.

I’ve been pitching one year transfer for over a year. They are very knowledgable on the process and I don’t think they were getting stuff from here, particularly. I’m sure they’ve done research from all over, but they have tons of info for one years not on CC.a lot if it is just their own personal path.

In the last three years ucla has released official news on applicant numbers and admitted students. In 2012 it was on the April 17th, In 2013 it was on April 18th, and in 2014 it was on April 18th. I think we should expect news tomorrow morning on ucla newsroom

Thanks for the info, Salmanthegr8.

@fullload - I find it impossible to read your posts in a voice other than Saul Goodman’s.

I haven’t gotten a decision from UCSB or UCR yet so I can imagine I have 0 chances for UCLA. The only thing I heard from UCR was to explain the gap in my education. UCI wanted me to complete a supplemental application. Anyone else an Asian Studies major with the same problem?

@xtyphoon I also applied as Asian Studies major, did you complete all pre-reqs?

That is a great trend you noticed @Salmanthgr8 !

By this, we should absolutely hear something in the morning tomorrow!! PLEASE GOD X_X

@wlasm15 I am missing one that my college didn’t offer. But I was also to take both Chinese & Korean Civilization this semester.

Any other non-trads in here waiting? Like, over 30 or 40? Am I the only old-timer?

@fullload Hey, Slippin Jimmy i’m a 23 transfer student

@UCLAme @HumbleTeen I really have nothing else to do today other than looking for hints on when decisions are coming out :))

As @Salmanthgr8 said, it’d be prudent to check the UCLA newsroom website tomorrow for updates regarding transfer admission notification day.

@fullload I’m 28 y/o, but bitter and 75 at heart. Does that count?

so i checked my ucla admission portal and my major on there says econ. does that mean i got in? cuz im assuming that they’d put me in my alt major if i did not qualify for econ. Also, im TAP certified and my alt major is nonimpacted.

It should have always said econ then. So no, it’s probably not an indication. Others had theirs suddenly change to their alternative major, which probably is an indicator.
