I’ve heard TAP doesn’t really make a difference when applying to comm studies. But you honestly couldn’t have done anything more (you have a 4.0 and good ecs) so if you don’t get in I’d be surprised.
@CaptainCal LA and Berkeley tend to just dump out most of their decisions all in one day. True for freshman and transfers.
If you guys have your UID and can make a MyUCLA account and are able to access your award for the 2015-2016 year you are definitely admitted. My award was posted Wednesday and I am in a special situation where I am guaranteed acceptance this cycle.
Dawn of the Final Day. 9 hours remain.
I have a feeling it’s not today… Le sigh
my friends who transferred last year (but to other schools) told me UCLA will send you an email when your decision is up. is that true?
Yep, but it’s been mentioned by past transfers that the portal is updated first, so keep checking there too.
^^^^ The email comes out a few hours after the portal updates.
@hopefulhunny what do you mean by view award letter? My account says that my document was received on the 15th and that it takes 3-5 business days to be able to see updates.
Hey guys. I’m a student that applied to UCLA from Michigan. I was wondering how are people getting these UID numbers?
@lbwaterpoloman oh dang. well I’m clearly too gullible at 3am. Thanks!
Not cool that someone would do that though
@LM1993 mine says the same thing: received on the 15th, takes 3-5 days to process. Hmm. what are your stats?
I heard from a mostly reliable source on campus, that today is the day. I have no proof or evidence but it’s what I was indirectly told.
same here @LM1993 are u able to view ur award letter?
I hope you’re right. FWIW, I just got a response from whoever runs the Facebook Admissions page for UCI that they are releasing decisions next week, not today. But that could be anyone, a student or volunteer.
And does everybody’s application status still say “Application Received” in red letters?
@AZJproc94 yup.
AZ, I have checked over 100 times in the last day and I can verify, yes, it’s still there.
Anyone know if they send out rejection emails as well? I don’t think I can handle the anxiety that comes with logging into the portal…
I checked the UCLA Transfer Student Facebook page - https://www.facebook.com/groups/uclatransfers/ One of the admins posted yesterday admitting to the “rumor” that the decisions could be released today.
