@Summer Same here! Especially when I’ve submitted my documents in February. Other people who sent their stuff in later have already been forwarded to an admissions committee, it seems
“Your materials have been received. Your application has been forwarded to the admissions staff for review” That’s what it said somewhere on the bottom when they received the necessary documents.
@bvo112 When did you send in all the documents for your application?
@buddy92 That’s my only guess as well. I sent the college report to another school I’m applying to as well at the same time (early February) and they received it. Strange that Cornell hasn’t
I’d have to guess that you’re right. We sent these reports in so early that it must be even harder for them to match up these documents with our applications. For once, it seems as though procrastination would have paid off…
I think they are backlogged, but it is incredibly stressful to not see things checked off that were mailed in weeks ago.
You may want to call undergraduate admissions and then ask to transferred to processing. I did this because my high school transcript hadn’t been checked off and I sent it in early February. They told me they’d received it and checked it off the next day.
@eespos1 what number did you call? when i call the undergrad admissions I just got an automated response…
I just called and spoke to a lady. She told me that they are behind with sorting the materials (sigh), which is why it hasn’t appeared yet. [-O<
The number I called is (607) 255-5241. I believed I pressed 0, and then 0 again. Do not select the option for transfer students, as it will just redirect you to the automated response.
For those that have all their documents checked off, where do you see the part where our application is being sent for review? Bc all my documents are checked off and I can’t find confirmation of it being sent it for review anywhere!
@hf1234 it will be in the “check application status” screen where the checklist of the materials are listed. At the very bottom after the SAT subject tests it will say “Your materials have been received. Your application has been forwarded to the admissions staff for review.”
@blackwidow22 oh crap I’m a little worried, it doesn’t say that for me. Im missing the Science subject test… was that part of the requirement for transfer applicants?
@hf1234 nope, Cornell doesn’t require SAT II’s for transfer applicants. Are you sure everything else is checked out? It could just be that they haven’t sent it for review yet because they are working on batches?
@eespos1 it didn’t work
@rancherjolly98 ahh sorry about that. I would try again, i’m going to call today to see if they received my mid-term report because that hasn’t been checked off for me yet. I’ll report back shortly
@blackwidow22 its been updated!! my application is being sent for review. Does this mean we hear back by May ?
@hf1234 yay! See, everything is okay. They just have so many things to sort it takes them a while.
Yes, the decisions should be made on a rolling basis from now until late May/early. i expect them middle of May
I faxed my midterm and college report the last week of Feb. I waited all this time thinking they were back logged only to find out this morning they never received it. I was able to send them via email and they immediately checked it off.
Pls what email adress diz you send them to. I think I better do the same
Everything us checked off except my midterm report and its almost two weeks
@eespos1 okay yeah thanks. I’m not sure if I should email them, or if I’ll just get an automated response
