Would you guys mind sharing your college GPA and midterm report grades?
@Transferdood I shared my stats in an earlier post on this thread, however, no one else seemed to want to share theirs but I am more than happy to share mine once more.
I am currently a freshman at a four year, private institution. Fall semester was 3.9 GPA. For the midterm report grades this semester, my GPA was a 4.0. My high school grades are definitely not up-to-par with my current performance, however, I was in several honors/AP courses which could explain why I am doing so well in college thus far.
What are your stats (GPA, two/four year school, etc.), and which school did you apply to?
Any Comp Sci transfers here?
Anyway, last year didn’t decisions come out in May? Why are people expecting decisions before then?
@kurutoga I think admissions gives priority to the students with guaranteed transfer agreements, so they will here back first. Other than that, I believe admissions decisions are released based on a rolling basis
Can someone please explain what “rolling basis” means?
I think it’s just waves of decisions after that. Don’t hold me to it, it’s what I’ve heard/think I’ve read.
Guys, I heard some Guaranteed transfers already got their acceptances!! This one guy from my school is going to ILR now.
@hp2trnsfr @eespos1 it just means that they are sent out in “batches” or “waves”. So they separate the decisions in multiple batches and they choose a date for each batch. “Rolling” because it is a continuous process all throughout April, May and June.
@blackwidow22 Thank you! Has you application been sent for review yet? All of my documents are checked off as of today and I wonder how long I’ll have to wait till it’s send to the admissions staff.
“Your materials have been received. Your application has been forwarded to the admissions staff for review”
Hope I get my decision by the end of the month.
safe to say the soonest we’ll hear back is in two weeks?
@hp2trnsfr yes, mine was sent for review a couple of weeks ago. I assume decisions will start coming out at the end of this month
Hey guys, do we have to submit our SAT scores? I submitted my Mid-Term Report today; but I was wondering if my application still won’t been sent in for review because of the Test Scores requirement.
@ibtes96 what number did you call?
Only 3/7 of my materials have been received
they’re backed up honesty
@frenchie2729 did you apply as a freshman or a transfer though? Because if I am not mistaken Ivy Day (3/31) is for freshman admissions only. I thought colleges wouldn’t look at transfer admissions until freshman decisions were done, that is why the transfer application deadline is 3/15.
Awesome! Good luck!!!
I read through this and saw other transfer applicants had issues with their Mid-Term report. I submitted mine at the same time as my college report, but it wasn’t marked off. Two emails to admissions, and all I got was the “we’re super inundated… sorry!” Finally, I called them today (607-255-5241 then 0, then 7). Someone incorrectly marked my mid-term report as a miscellaneous document. They were glad I called because it was holding my app from moving to review.
TL;DR: If anything is still marked as missing from your application, it’s probably an error at this point. Call them before it’s too late! 607-255-5241 then 0, then 7). They’re super helpful!
I did exactly as you said and it turns out the same mistake was made with my mid-term report! Thank you for sharing this information
