Well that sucks. Can’t call until Monday now. This happened to me last time. I applied for the spring 2016 term, and they said that they had received all of my materials, but after EVERY other applicant received their decision and I didn’t, I emailed them. They said that they had never gotten one of my forms, but never mentioned that to me, and by then they said that I was a good fit but they had to cap their admissions, and there was no room for me. I’m still missing 4 items on my checklist, so I feel like something bad is happening again. Hopefully not, I can’t deal with that again. Ugh.
I wouldn’t worry too much at this point – we’re not far enough in the admission process… After 4/15, I would panic. But for now, call on Monday and I’m sure they’ll fix it!
It’s a super annoying thing, but I’m glad a phone call resolved mine and @AnovaMK 's issue. I just wish they wouldn’t have sent me two vey generic emails without looking into my issue.
I hope you’re right I’ll call on Monday.
@AnovaMK @coloradoconfined I called that number and pressed 0 and 7, and all i got, was redirected to the the help menu what am i doing wrong?
@rancherjolly98 Those numbers worked for me :-S … Did you call after 4:30 eastern?
Im little late to the party but here are my stats. If anyone has any insight on my chances of getting in, I would appreciate it.

I have some extenuating circumstance. My 15 yo brother took his life in Jan 2015. Up to that point I had 3.9 overall. The following semester was really rough. GPA fell to 3.3 and I had to withdraw from english. Twice. In spring then in summer. To top it off my roommate tried to kill himself in Fall 2015, just after things started to get better. And i found him and had to relive the worst night of my life. Same hospital. I had to withdraw from english again. (Yes a 3rd time) Got an A in Macro which was the only other class i was taking at the time.
This semester I’m doing much much much better. I have 100% or higher in all my classes. I’m so bored. I can’t even describe how ready I am to be at any 4 yr school. Also lost 35 lb since last summer haha
Obviously one of my essays focused on the changes this past year and framed the rough year in a positive way. The other tied my EMT work to my major. Also I talked specifically about why Cornell is a perfect fit for me. I did hours and hours of research. I also wrote 1000+ words explaining my situation for the special circumstance section.
Anyone have any insight or know anyone who was is in a similar situation? Any advice?
TLDR: 3.7 GPA at CC. EE student. 4.0 this semester.ACT: 32. SC 36. MATH 34. Have 90% of classes to be junior. 95% by end of summer. 20+ hours volunteer work per week. Crappy 2015 for understandable reasons. Doing much better now. Good essays that stand out.
Acceptances are rolling out for ILR. You might get a call on the weekend too
@RedBear2016 did you get yours yet??
@RedBear2016 How do you know? They just received my documents yesterday. How long do you think I’ll need to wait before I get my decision?
Thanks
@RedBear2016 When you say acceptances are rolling out, you mean for guaranteed transfers? I’m so nervous!! and @Transferdood i think you’d have more of a waiting period since they just received all your docs.
are the both of you ILR hopefuls?
Anyone applying to CAS?
Applied to Human ecology - anyone else?
@hf1234 Yup I applied to ILR. Would you mind sharing your mid-term grade?
@2Brown4MyOwnGood I’m also HumEc!
Scrolling through Instagram I saw a post from a CC transfer to CALS that already received his decision. So it has begun, I don’t know if he is GT or what.
@Transferdood
I got all A’s on my midterm report! Are you applying from a community college or 4 yr institution?
@hf1234 I’m applying from a 4 year institution. Our grades are similar. Hopefully we get in!
@Transferdood best of luck to you! I just want to hear back already.
Good luck to you!
Hopefully we’ll both make it
@hf1234 When was your application complete?
