@Transferdood i believe April 1st!
My application just sent for review this weekends. I am kind of anxious now, will the late review affect my decisions…“the decision will come out on a rolling basis” what does that mean? 8-|
Hi, all:
Here as my stats.
I am applying as a Government major
High School GPA: 3.85, weighted
SAT Overall: 1550
Currently attend a community college in California.
GPA: 3.90
Have completed 11 honors course, minimum to complete the program is 6.
I am part of:
- Associated Student Organization (student government)
- Student Senate for California Community College (state-wide non-profit that oversees 2.3 California community college students)
- Alpha Gamma Sigma Honors Society
I’m currently waiting for news on my status for the Jack Kent Cooke Undergraduate Transfer Scholarship. However, I did include that I am a semi-finalist for it.
Personal story: I was diagnosed with Type 2 Diabetes at the age of 19; this experience – where the doctor told me that I have to take medication for the rest of my life despite California bills saying otherwise – really inspired me to apply to Cornell, where I can mix my studies as a Government major with the Nutrition and Food Policy Program (which is unique to the school).
Hey guys! I’m calling Cornell today to work out my midterm and college report issues. I sent them out a month ago and they still have not been checked off.
@cornell1203 the late review won’t affect your chances because they are not done with checking all of the applications. It is still early, they are just getting started. Even though some people are getting their decisions now (mostly guaranteed transfers), the vast majority of them will not be released until the first or second week of May.
“Rolling basis” means they come out in “batches” every certain days, it just means it is a continuous or ongoing process where decisions will not be released all at once but in certain amount.
I suggest at this point anyone who hasn’t gotten their materials completely checked off should call Cornell because it is most likely missing.
@blackwidow22 I was looking at the stats from last year and some hear back near the end of April!
Also how did you guys do on the essay?
Can anyone who has gotten in touch with the processing center please tell me how? I get an automated message every time
@rancherjolly98 You press 0 then 7. Don’t go to “for transfers,” that’t automated recoding. You wait until it says “talk to an admissions representative.”
I got in
I was on the phone with them and they were releasing decisions this week or tomorrow and I talked to the admissions guys called Paul fischer and he asked if i wanted to know whether i got in or not. And I said “only if it’s good news” And Im INNNNNN
@jeffrey111 what school?

@jeffrey111 Congratulations! Which school did you get into?
@jeffrey111 Do you mind sharing your stats?
@jeffrey111 Congratulations! What did you apply for and when was your file sent for review?
@jeffrey111 Congrats!!! When did you submit your app for Cornell?
Congrats dude! Did you apply to human eco?
Do you mind telling us your stats?
@AimHighandFight yea sure, what do you want to know. This community has been so helpful its the least i can do
@Transferdood College of Human Ecology Human Development. I sent in my common app January 31, but everything was checked off on March 25. I called them early last week for priority because I had gotten a UMIch transfer last year and the deposit is due 5/1. So i think that’s why i heard back so quickly.
@jeffrey111 Like your GPA, EC and stuff. Thank you!
