**honestly, my EC’s and HS GPA were not that good. That’s what I worried about.
Personal Essay: 9.8/10 (wrote how much my best friend affected my decision to become a doctor, rather than make $$$ as a business major. Also since I only applied to Cornell, I made every essay about Cornell. )
Supplements: 9.9/10 (focused a lot on fit. I research the school and was very excited about attending there and all the opportunities offered. I showed them who I was as a person, not just as a scholar.
Recommendations (3):
(1)- 10/10, very specific to Cornell human ecology. And showed who I was a person as well as a student
(2)- 9/10- showed how hard working I was as a student
(3)- 5/10- She did it last minute and I had to constantly nag her so I can’t imagine it being too good.
Reflections:
I think the reasons I got accepted are my recommendations and personal essays. I worked really hard on them and I guess they paid off. Thank you college confidential so much.
@jeffrey111 Thank you so much for sharing!
@jeffrey111 congratulations!! And thank you for sharing
Congrats @jeffrey111
Finally my documents have been sent for review. I called on friday and a lady asked me to email my midterm report to her. According to her, the online summision method is backed up.
Hence the 2 week delay
@graceunworthy me too. All my documents have finally been submitted.
Great. Now we just have to wait for good news
Has anyone received an email with instructions when to view their decisions? I haven’t yet but I know someone can view their decision on the 18th—> he’s GT though.
https://decision.applyyourself.com/fl_login.aspx?id=cornellu
Again, go here and click on Forgot your PIN or password to reset your pin. You will be able to see when your decision is coming out if it’s already been made
I called and let them know that I have to send a SIR to one of my schools by May 1st and she said they would mark that on my application so hopefully I’ll here back soon! Although it doesn’t recognize my email on that link so they probably haven’t reviewed my app yet so we’ll see
@burnt2the3rd Which school did you apply to?
@AimHighandFight the College of Human Ecology!
@AimHighandFight thanks for the link! also I read somewhere that if we tried to access the link, they would know and it would reflect badly on us?? I don’t really want to risk that
I dont see what wrong with people being anxious to know thier fate. How does that reflect badly?
@hf1234 Actual admissions counselors probably cannot see that end of the website. Even if they could, quite frankly, I don’t think they have the time nor patience to check the amount of times someone is attempting to log in. They are way too busy trying to get everyone’s applications in order.
I tried, but they can’t locate my pin via my email. What would that mean lol
@chanceme2014 That simply means your decision will not be available soon.
For anyone who’s midterm report hasn’t been checked off yet I just called Cornell and they told me that they’re a bit backed up and it would be better to either 1) fax them a copy of it to: 607-255-5452 or email it to: undergradapp@cornell.edu asap
