Fall 2016 Transfer Thread - Cornell University

@blackwidow22 definitely - will do, thank you!

@2Brown4MyOwnGood I told you would make it!! Congratulations!!

I was accepted to CALS as a GT! I got my email today at exactly 10am Eastern Time (I live in NY)

rejected for mechE

Is next week historically an acceptance week?

it’s just a week with both acceptances and rejections I think

@StillWaitingHere Probably yes? as long as the pattern says

According to last year & taking into account the week we are behind this year, the next week should be a continuation of rejections along with 2-3 acceptances (5/3), the week after that is 50/50 (5/10) and then practically an acceptance week - especially for CAS! (5/17) and then mostly acceptances (5/24) which should be the last week for decisions since last year the last week was on 5/19.

@blackwidow22 well that’s encouraging… :confused:

if any of you are in CHE though, it doesn’t matter when you get your decision.

@socoutmia Yes, I know O.o. And since we know now Cornell does follow the trend I guess we should prepare. Most CAS decisions (and most CAS acceptances) did not happen until Mid-May which should be on 5/17 this year. I suspect most decisions next week will be if not most rejections at least 50/50 (because I am sure Cornell will try to finish decisions no later than the common date of 5/19 so they may release more than usual from now on to keep up) and the next 2 weeks after that will probably be the best time to get a decision.

Accepted CAS. Today.

rejected :wink: I’m gonna wait for UC Berkeley.

yes, I think this trend mainly applies to CAS.

@kbd1123 Congrats on your acceptance!! :slight_smile:

This makes 3 acceptances today which confirms a mirror of last year’s rejection day O.o

@socoutmia thank you!! (: best of luck to you and everyone else!

Congratulations to everyone who was accepted! And good luck to everyone else!

My application has JUST been submitted for review after a terrible paperwork fiasco, so it doesn’t look like I’ll be hearing back for at least a couple of weeks.

Rejected from CAS, oh wells.

We only know about the people that post on college confidential though.I know a lot of GT’s heard back today.

@MikeSauce where you a GT?

My first post on here but got accepted to CAS! Cant wait to meet all of you who are attending :slight_smile:
