@CudleWudles whod you emal
@nbph216 Just the normal admissions email.
They told me 4-6 week wait and I found out three days later that I got in. I think its the standard. Don’t worry friendos
But on another note-
…housing is stressful af. If any girls wanna live w me instead of a complete stranger in Northwood II, lets start talking to see if we’re compatible or something.
Does anyone have an idea how the housing situation will be? I am still waiting on other schools and cannot decide whether to accept the offer early to get dorm in time…
Hello everyone!
What are my chances of being accepted into U of M as a transfer?
I am currently attending Macomb Community College and I am majoring in biological sciences. I am interested in transferring to U of M for the Fall 2017 semester. To date, I have earned 31 credits, I have 16 credits in progress, and I have a 3.91 cumulative gpa. Hopefully my gpa increases after this semester–I’m earning all A’s so far >:D<.
I am also a member of Phi Theta Kappa, I have an on-campus job, I volunteer at college events from time to time, I just became a volunteer student tour ambassador, and I volunteer at a local hospital on a weekly basis as a patient care aide. As a matter of fact, I have accumulated 60.5 volunteer hours at the hospital and I expect that number to have grown substantially by the end of this year.
I recently applied to the Community College Summer Research Fellowship Program at UMich and I am hoping that I am accepted. This would increase my chances of being admitted to U of M as a transfer student. If I am admitted to U of M, I plan on majoring in microbiology, cell and molecular biology, or neuroscience. I would also be interested in minoring in French.
Classes I am taking/have taken/grades earned:
Medical Terminology- A
Psychology- A
Composition 1- A
Composition 2- A
General Biology 1- A
General Biology 2- B+
Anatomy & Physiology- A
Intro. to General Chemistry- A
General Chemistry 1-A (IP)
French 1- A (IP)
Statistics- A (IP)
Sociology- A (IP)
Classes I plan on taking:
Microbiology
General Chemistry II
Physics 1
A Humanities course
Calculus 1 (if I can test out of Precalculus)
My HS stats:
3.802 gpa
26 ACT score
2 AP classes
2 honors classes
HS ECs:
Yearbook
HOSA-Future Health Professionals
In summary, please give me some suggestions about what else I could do to stick out in a pool of 900-1200 transfer applicants. University of Michigan-Ann Arbor is my dream school! P.s. sorry for the long post… I’m just trying to give you all a better idea of where I stand. Oh, and I hope to become a physician someday.
Addendum: I will probably end up taking either Organic Chemistry 1 or Physics 2 in addition to the other courses.
Just wondering, has anyone still not heard back yet?

Does anyone also apply for CS programs? So far, I haven’t heard back anything yet from ENG department. Kind of worried…
Plus: currently I have got 65 credits,(I started my college at Summer semester, there is a ENG program and also took a lot of proficiency exams)
@Donner105 I still have not.
@nbph216 You might want to get in a Live chat and ask them when your Application was marked complete if you haven’t done so already. Apparently mine was only marked complete a week ago. They told me it’s roughly 4-6 weeks FROM WHEN AFTER the application has been marked complete.
@Donner105 i havent heard yet either. I will ask about it through the live change next week!
@cornell1203 can i ask u why u would like to transfer from UIuC to Umich? UIUC is still a great uni., and i was just accepted. I am still waiting for Umich admission to choose which uni. i want to go at the end. UIUC is one of my top priorities and i dont know where to choose… So i was just wondering why u chose to go umich over uiuc!
I haven’t heard back either. My application was marked as complete on February 26th so I should hear back any day now…
It’s just my opinion for you to consider. The CS programs at UIUC and UMich do not have any significant difference, maybe UIUC is slightly better in US news. Personally I hope to have some Business background. Umich has better business programs beyond doubt. Therefore I hope to transfer to Umich.
But if you just consider the CS program, UIUC is awesome place!!! And people here are never worried about internships. One of my friends just got Apple and DropBox intern this summer as Sophomore, also one got Facebook.
@cornell1203 Thank you! My major is psychology and for psychology, both schools are great I guess when I look at the US News rank… (both are top 10). I am kind of regretting that I applied to 9 unis… I want to attend all the school I applied lol Good luck !!
Good luck!!!
Has anybody that applied CoE heard back yet?
